Public Notice is hereby given that the Treasurer of Lawrence County, Ohio, filed Complaints in the Court of Common Pleas of Lawrence County, OH at Ironton for the foreclosure of liens for delinquent taxes, assessments, charges, penalties and interest against certain real Properties situated in such county as described in those complaints. The Defendants, whose addresses cannot with the exercise of reasonable diligence be ascertained, and upon whom service of summons cannot be had in the State of Ohio, will Take Notice that Tresa L. Baker, Treasurer, Lawrence County, Ohio, Plaintiff, filed Complaints in the Common Pleas Court of Lawrence County, Ohio, being as set forth above, to foreclose the lien for land taxes, assessments, penalties and interest. Any person(s) owning or claiming any right, title, interest in, or lien upon the parcels may file an answer in the action setting forth the nature and amount of his or her interest and any defense or objection to the foreclosure. Any such answer shall be filed in the office of the undersigned Clerk of Court, and a copy of the answer shall be delivered to the Prosecuting Attorney, on or before fourteen (14) days from 2nd publication placement on the website papers (or be forever barred and the Plaintiff will be found to have first and best lien on said premises for the amount so owing). If no answer is filed, a judgment of foreclosure will be taken by default. The parcels, if ordered foreclosed, will be sold at public auction and if not sold may be conveyed to a political subdivision, land reutilization corporation or eligible community development organization as prescribed in
5723.01 unless redeemed by the owner or interest party. At any time prior to the filing of an entry of confirmation of sale, an owner or lienholder of, or other person with an interest in, a parcel listed in the complaint may redeem the parcel by tendering to the treasurer the amount of the taxes, assessments, charges, penalties and interest due and unpaid on the parcel, together with all costs incurred in the proceeding instituted against the parcel under section
5721.18 of the Revised Code. Upon the filing of any entry of confirmation of sale, there shall be no further equity of redemption. After the filing of any such entry, any person claiming any right, title, or interest in, or lien upon, any parcel shall be forever barred and foreclosed of any such right, title, or interest in, lien upon, and any equity of redemption in, such parcel.
