PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)

In 2015 the citizens of Ironton approved municipal aggregation programs for electric and natural gas by majority vote; the city received the appropriate certificates from PUCO and implemented both programs in 2016. The most recent aggregation contracts were non-renewed, and the mayor and city council wish to reestablish the programs and seek Request For Qualifications for the services of a certified broker (Broker) to assist in implementing and maintaining future agreements.

As part of the RFQ the city requests the following information:

• Copies Of The Broker’s Current PUCO Certificates
• Length Of Time In Industry
• Length Of Time Serving Aggregation Programs
• Number Of Aggregation Suppliers Represented
• List Of Any Customer Complaints To PUCO Or The Ohio Consumer’s Council (OCC) And Any Resolution Or Outcome
• Services That Will Be Provided Including The Upkeep And Maintenance Of Required Reporting And Certifications
• Services To The Community Including Educational Efforts To Increase Participation
• Margin/Fee Structure To Be Levied
• Any Additional Services Provided

The expectation from the Mayor and City Council is a net zero cost to the city to maintain the programs, and the Broker must be willing to attend public meetings and hearings as deemed necessary by the administration.

The city requests all respondents submit qualifications in writing to the mayor’s office:

P.O Box 704
Ironton, OH 45638

Submissions must be received by (March 5, 2026), no electronic submissions will be accepted.
