PUBLIC NOTICE

Request for Engineering Qualifications for Landslide Repairs 2026

The Lawrence County Engineer acting on behalf of Lawrence County, Ohio intends to contract for engineering services in connection with the declared disaster that occurred in April 2025.
Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide engineering services should reply with a statement of qualifications no later than 4 pm on March 26, 2026. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered for these projects.
Statements of qualifications should include information regarding to the firm’s history; education and experience of owners and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm’s current staff; any ODOT prequalification, the firm’s experience in performing landslide repairs; availability of staff; references; and any previous work pertaining to landslide repairs performed for Lawrence County or Counties of similar size in Ohio.
Upon receipt of the Statement of Qualifications, it is the intent of the Lawrence County Engineer to prepare a list of prequalified firms to provide engineering and surveying services for projects under $50,000 in accordance with ORC §153.68 and 153.71(A)(1).
Evaluation of firms for inclusion on the prequalified list and notification and evaluation of prequalified firms for specific projects will be as required by Ohio Revised Code §153.65-73. While Statement of Qualifications will be accepted at any time, firms interested in work pertaining to the landslide repairs should provide their statements by the time and date listed above.
